Here is a round up of 3 resources to help you build your business I’ve curated help you grow your business and be more productive:
1. Email: Time saving tips from Derek Halpern of Social Triggers
I’ve written about how to deal with email overload, I know it makes me crazy when I don’t work to keep it under control. Read this post by Derek Halpern of Social Triggers on how he answers 3x more emails in half the time.
The number one take away for me was to break the most commonly asked questions or requests down and create an email template response for them. I already have this in place when handling most customer service request. Not only is smart, it saves time and the customer is served.
2. Branding: 5 Steal-worthy Branding Strategies from Marie Forleo
This year I one of my focuses for my business and that of my clients is to work on their branding. I’m always looking at how top influencers are marketing and branding to pick up new innovative ideas. Check out Marie Forleo’s video on 5 Steal Worth Branding Strategies From a Brand I Couldn’t Resist. Even if you aren’t interested in branding strategies, you have to check it out for the entertaining Love Your Branding Baby music video intro that Marie has created – I loved it!
While I thought all of the strategies she discussed were very steal worthy, The one I thought would help make my customers feel understood and let them know that they’re in the right place was:
Create a super effective home page.
This resonates with me as I am revamping my personal offerings and website plus re-building some business platforms for some amazing clients. One of my objectives is to build better websites and I’m not just talking about creating a good looking site but one that really works to convert visitors into customers.
The key to this according to Marie is be able to convey to your visitor in the first 3 seconds:
- Who you are
- What you do
- How you can help your visitor
3. Strategic Planning with Marisa Murgatroyd of Live Your Message
It’s the new year and everyone is always buzzing around this time about planning. Listen to this strategic planning interview with Marisa about how she strategically plans her business. She also has a 30 Day Challenge to help you create a Breakthrough Year going on. It’s worth your time to check both of these out!
Here’s my top two take-aways from Marisa’s interview on strategic planning are:
1. Identifying a vision of where I want to go – set tangible goals.
2. Then build the road map of how I will achieve those goals – create an action plan.
I hope you find these resources things you can use to build your business. Re sure to check them out and tell me what you think!
