Success is 80% Mindset & 20% Tactics

Entrepreneur Mindset: Success is 80% Mindset & 20% Tactics

I’m learning that success is 80% mindset & 20% tactics

I’ was excited this week when Bobbie, my coach told me that success is 80% mindset & 20% tactics on my coaching call with her.   I believe that if you are able to embrace the idea of changing your mindset it just seems a whole heck of a lot easier to do a few simple things than having to learn a bunch of technical stuff or continually searching for that just right coaching program that will teach you a strategy to become successful.

You can probably tell that I’m on a roll right now talking about mindset and success.

I am deep into examining what role this has and is currently playing out in my own business.   Previously I wrote about being stopped in your business and feeling like giving up and then I wrote about The Fear Of Success both of which I have experienced in my personal journey.

I’m in a High-Performance group coaching program this summer and the focus is on reaching heightened levels of Clarity, Energy, Courage, Productivity and Influence which in turn will give me a stronger foundation for continuing to build a successful business.

So this week in my private coaching call I told Bobbie, my coach, that the number one reason why I want to work for myself was that when I was in the corporate world I was always the best at my job, got great reviews from all of my bosses, but what was missing for me was the recognition, money and promotions that I felt were just rewards for my excellent performance.

I was shocked when Bobbie told me that I had recreated the same situation in my business.  Now I was the nasty boss who did not recognize my hard work, pay me well enough or promote me for a job well done!

And you know what?

I wasn’t upset at all, I was pretty excited when she told me this.

Because you see, it was now only ME holding myself back, not someone else that I have to try to convince of my worthiness.  And the solution Bobbie gave me was pretty simple…just change the message you are sending to yourself Kristen.  She told me that success is really 80% mindset & 20% tactics.  Bobbie has been telling our mastermind group this same message for the past 8 months and only now do I really understand what she meant by this.  I’m sure that I understand it now.  I guess it must take hearing things multiple times or being the right place at the right time for it to sink in.

I was still struggling with my vision so I called up Sabine who’s in my mastermind group to find out how she tackled this.  And you one of the first things she said to me was that she believes in the whole law of attraction thing.  Luckily for me, I do to.  So what you tell yourself is what you will create in your life – there it is mindset again!  It was really helpful talking to her about her experience from that call I came to grips with who I am and why I am doing what I do.

I’m the CEO of a highly successful marketing strategy and implementation company.  And my driving why I do what is do is that I’m ashamed and disgusted with the coaching industry taking lots of money from entrepreneurs, business and life coaches, promising 6 figure businesses.   These people as spending lots of money and not getting the results because they are struggling with implementation.

I’m here to help them bring their business to life through implementation.

So thank you both Sabine and Bobbie for helping me get clear on they what and the why….

Having a clear vision of what I want to be along with understanding the big why, the force that is driving me and knowing that what I’m fighting for is worth it is what I need to know each day when I walk into my office.

So get out a piece of paper and craft your vision of who and what you want to be here and now.  Don’t forget to include your big why it is important and you’ll have a great start on building a success mindset.
