Getting more traffic to your website isn’t supposed to be hard….here’s the exact method we use to generate 4000+ views a month.

I’ve been doing it for 8+ years now and have generated over 100k views a year for myself and my clients. I’ve discovered what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to writing content and driving website traffic.

Use these simple tips when writing your next blog post and you’ll be sure to get more eyeballs  on your content.

1. Use High Contrast Images:

Always begin your post with an image.  Not just any image will work, I’ve found that high contrast images work the best at getting attention. Spend time and money on quality stock images – often this is the first impression someone has of you and you want to look professional.

Here are my 3 favorites:  photodune.net, unsplash ( it’s FREE!) and bigstockphoto.com

2.  Write Strong Headlines:

Having a strong title gives you a better chance of having readers click.  Keep it under 9 words, making sure it is clear & concise.  Use words that are descriptive and draw an emotional response.  Great titles starter include how to… or ( ) ways you can…

I like to use descriptive words like stunning and explode…

3. Use Categories:

Categories are important for organizing your content on your blog.  And when someone is on your blog and are looking for more great content they can easily type in a category and see all of your articles on that subject.

Make it easy for your readers to find your great content by including a search bar on the side of your blog.

4.  Use Hashtags:

If you post your content on Instagram or other sites you want to research & use the right hashtags so that your content gets in front of your target audience.?

Doing this research and implementing this tip has dramatically improved my reach on instagram and I have been able to add over 1k new followers on instagram in a single month.

5.  Use the right SEO plugin:

This is HUGE – you need to add SEO by Yoast plugin to your site and using it will improve your traffic and it takes your SEO time down to under 10 minutes.

If you want to know how to do SEO in 10 minutes or less, you can read all about it here:

6.  Formatting makes a difference:

Format your content for scanning.

This means using subheadings, bullets and your paragraphs should be short and to the point.  Readers will scan and then read the parts they find interesting.

Make it easy for your readers to find the information they need!

7.  Publish your content in the right places

Knowing where and when to post makes all the difference when it comes to getting a surge of traffic when you hit the publish button.

Grab this simple checklist – yes it is the same one my team and I use every time we hit that publish button.  It’s responsible for going to less than 1000 well over 4000 views a month on each of our websites.
